Afellay returns to Stoke

Stoke midfielder Ibrahim Afellay has returned to the club as he continues his recovery from injury.

The 30-year-old Dutch international has been out after sustaining knee ligament damage in training in April and was given permission to work on his rehab away from the Potteries.

“He’s not a guy that puts on too much weight anyway, but he’s come back and looks in great condition,” manager Mark Hughe"He’s clearly been working very, very hard since the injury and the next step is to re-integrate him back into the group and get him back onto the field of play again."
