Nigerian-American born rapper Olubowale Victor Akintimehin popularly
known as Wale as been told by the FG to come home and take part in the
compulsory yearly NYSC program saying ” no one is exempted, he is
Nigerian, he is 28.. so, there’s no excuse” Our reporters have since
spoken to Wale and he told us “Ah! fatherland has called, i have no
choice but to answer”. The orientation is only 3 weeks, so we gathered
that he’ll use this as an opportunity to tour the country, meet his
fans, and learn the ways and culture of the people, before going back to
 work in the States.-------ACCORDING TO-THE PRESS{SSMI-ENTERTAINMENT CREW}------
With regional hits and mixtape albums to his credit, he was signed on
to Rick Ross music group and soon after, to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for
management.
Wale recorded his maiden album in Atlanta, Georgia. It
features the first smash hit single, Lotus Flower Bomb. He has been
nominated for the Soul Train Music Awards, MTV U Woodie Award, BET Hip
Hop Awards, which he won early in 2012 for the Best Collaboration title.
